Will I lose my nursing license if I was convicted of a crime?
posted: Dec. 16, 2019
Not necessarily. It depends on the nature of the crime. A felony is always a serious matter, and there are some felonies which will prevent you from getting your license renewed for long periods of time, like healthcare, fraud, any kind of fraud, or termination for cause from the Medicaid program. If you've been convicted of a lesser felony or a misdemeanor, the consequences may not be so dire, and probably the best idea is to consult your lawyer.
