Will I lose my medical license if I am convicted of a crime?
posted: Dec. 16, 2019
It depends on the nature of a crime. For example, were you convicted of misdemeanor shoplifting or did you run over a pedestrian while you were driving under the influence without a driver's license? Also, there are some felonies which will prevent you from obtaining a license or getting your license renewed for 10 to 15 years. And those include any form of healthcare fraud or fraud in general, or being terminated from the Medicaid program.
