Will I lose my medical license if I am accused of drug diversion?
posted: Dec. 16, 2019
You can't lose your medical license just because you were accused by the hospital or by civil authorities of drug diversion. The board of medicine will investigate any allegation of drug diversion and they have the authority to restrict or suspend your license while that investigation is in process. However, you can only lose your medical license if the board finds that you did wrong or if you're actually convicted of drug diversion.
