What should I do if federal authorities raid my medical office?

A raid is a very frightening experience. FBI agents come into your office unannounced with their firearms. The first thing to do under any circumstance is to call your lawyer immediately. He or she will probably advise you of three things. First is send your non-essential employees homes so they're not in the fray getting scared to death; make an inventory of all property and files that are taken; and ask for copies of any documents you need to run your business day today. But again, when you have armed FBI agents in your office, get your lawyer on the scene as soon as you can.
